KN95 Masks
KN95 masks are general-purpose, high-efficiency face coverings designed to filter at least 95% of airborne particles. They are suitable for environments with low to moderate risks, such as areas with compromised air quality, dust, or allergens. KN95 masks do not require formal training for use and are available at the Corporation Yard.
Safe Use Guidelines:
- Ensure the mask fits snugly over your nose, mouth, and chin with no gaps.
- Avoid using damaged or soiled masks.
- Replace the mask if it no longer seals properly or after extended use in contaminated environments.
N95 Respirators
N95 respirators are recommended for situations involving potential exposure to inhalation hazards or high concentrations of particulates. These masks provide advanced protection by filtering at least 95% of airborne particles, including smaller particulates in hazardous work environments.
Requirements for Use:
- Users must complete the N95 Respirator Request - Voluntary Use Form and the required online training before wearing an N95 respirator.
- N95 respirators should be used in accordance with safety guidelines and inspected for proper fit and seal before each use.
